One of the oldest towns in Horry County South Carolina . Founded in 1732 by early English Colonists referred to the town as “kings town “ or “kingston”, it is laid out atop a bluff overlooking the Waccamaw River approximately 14 miles or 20-25 minutes from the sandy shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
A more rural and laidback town than its more famous and rowdier cousin to the east Myrtle Beach. Conway is a sleepy town with a small town center , full withquaint shops and small family run restaurants.
Home of the stunning and peaceful river walk, a collection of trails and paths that meander along the waccamaw river. On the weekends its common to see multiple weddings , parties and photoshoots along the banks. Something else not to miss in Conway is the Ocean Fish Market. A small building located downtown famous for its fresh catches from all over the grand strand. Stop by and pick up something delicious for lunch.
