Where is Garden City SC

Located eight miles south of Myrtle Beach and Directly south of Surfside Beach city limits, Garden City offers over 8 miles of pristine Carolina coast. Located in both Horry and Georgetown counties, they are paroled and served by both jurisdiction’s fire and police respective to their location. 

What and Where to Eat in Garden City SC

Along with many regional and national chains, Garden City offers a great variety of local eats. Causeways Bar & Grill, located off Atlantic Avenue, is a local Bar and Restaurant offering great food and atmosphere. If you love to sing in the shower, try out some karaoke while playing a few games of pool with your friends on the weekend. For a more fine dining experience, try Gulfstream Cafe. Located next to Marlin Quay marina, it offers a beautiful view of Murrells Inlet and some of the best seafood and steaks the area has to offer. If you are looking for a late night meal after a day of playing games at the pavilion, give Sam’s Corner a visit. Garden City Schools

Garden City is under the jurisdiction of Horry County Public School District. The public schools servicing the area are Seaside Elementary, Burgess Elementary, St. James Middle School, and St. James High School.

At the heart of the community is the Garden City Pier. The Garden City Pier is a popular attraction and considered one of the best piers along the Grand Strand. At 668 feet long, at the end of the pier is the "End of the Pier", a bar with live music and dancing. Also, the Garden City Beach Pier offers an arcade, tackle shop, the Pier Café, and, it goes without saying, fishing spots galore. Across the street from Garden City Pier is the Garden City Pavilion, a two story arcade that will provide hours of play for the young to the old! Win tickets to trade for a wide variety of prizes or play just for fun! Take a break and grab a bit of ice cream at Painters Homemade Ice Cream or the Yum Yum Shop.

If you are looking to hit the beach, and maybe a few waves, check out Village Surf Shoppe. Established in 1968 and located right off Atlantic Avenue, it is a unique local surf shop that can meet any of your wave fairing needs. Once you grab a board, head out to the best local surf spots the south end of the Grand Strand has to offer.

The Inlet Pointe, or referred to as “the Pointe” by locals, is not only a beautiful place to visit for a day on the boat, to fish, or take a stroll while watching the sun rise over the ocean. If you are tired of hanging out on the 8 miles of beautiful beaches, then hop on a fishing charter out of Marlin Quay Marina.
